Macrobiotic Diet – George Ohsawa, a Japanese educator, developed the macrobiotic diet in 1920s, but this diet became popular during 1970 by student of Ohsawa.The diet which is focused on seasonal produced ingredients, whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, etc. This diet promotes the healthy lifestyle and helps to increase the human life. Many people believe that due to stress and fast moving life human are suffering from many diseases and when you adopt this diet it will help you to cut down from these life threatening diseases. Macrobiotic diet has a strong command on organic and natural food. It also recommends for eradication of chemically centric and artificial ingredients.

1) This diet is mainly vegetarian .it also Restricts and limits animal fats. Due to this many believe that it protects from heart diseases and cholesterol problem.

4) Some macrobiotic
diet follower says that the food for “Macrobiotic diet” should not be prepared

before he feels full, it is done to avoid overeating.
7) In macrobiotic diet whole grains should be around 50-60 %., fresh and organic vegetables should be around 25-30 %, and beans should be 10%.

10) Unrefined oil is generally used in this diet; it also
allows light mustard oil, corn and sesame oil.
11) For seasoning and taste enhancer you can use Shoyu (Japanese soy sauce), sea salt, Umeboshi (pickle), seaweed etc.
12) Alcohol, caffeinated and sweetened drink s is not
included in this diet.
13) Stem tea, brown
rice tea, dandelion root teas are recommended in this diet.
